Easter

This year for Easter seemed to be a combination of Graves and McKown Easter traditions. In the Graves household we always had Easter bunny candy throughout the house that led to our Easter baskets. In the McKown household, it was an Easter egg hunt outside that morning. David and I typically go to a sunrise service on Easter before our church however this year we didn't make it. So, we quickly put eggs outside in the backyard to do before our church since we had time now.

The stage was set...

What is going on?!?!? Brother is in my room yelling about candy on the floor.

When I woke Matthew up the first thing he said was "Mommy, will you stop dropping candy on my floor?" I guess he wasn't asleep when I was in there....oops

Who is this Easter bunny you talk about??

He gave me some new blocks!

Matthew took LOTS of breaks to see what was inside the eggs and sampled alot

Looking everywhere for eggs

We went to church and had a wonderful celebration of our risen Savior who continues to live everyday in our lives. It was a blessing that Matthew began to sing the chorus of He Lives since David and I had been singing it all week. I'm glad he is catching on to the things of importance.

Later that night we had Gaga and Papa over for ribs and to watch the Lady Bears. We won't talk about that game though. Good thing we were happy about Easter and Jesus because the Lady Bears were not so exciting and happy.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, all fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living
Just because He lives.
