David and Me...and Matthew
We had a great time at the wedding and wish Tim and Kim the best as they are celebrating in the Bahamas right now. Congrats guys, we're real excited for you.
We also had another doctor appointment today and had another good report. Here are some details from our doctor appointment:
- I'm dialated to 2cm, which is progress. My cervix is still soft, but hasn't thinned out much.
- Our doctor estimated that Matthew weighs about 7lbs. right now (she felt around on him to figure that out). David has been guessing he will be 7lbs 11oz throughout our pregnancy.
- I still have swelling, but she said it had not gotten any worse. I'm currently writing this blog with compression hose on my legs...that will make you feel old.
- I'm still working and going to try to work as much as I can, the doctor said she would recommend taking time to rest as much as possible. Our calendar has been very full recently until this Sunday when we cleared our calendars, so the plan is for me to come straight home after work and relax, hopefully this will help with energy and swelling.
- Matthew is definately down in my pelvic area as she showed on my body where his head was when she was feeling it.
Exciting to think about all the progress we're making and I continue to keep myself in check emotionally in order to not loose my sanity. Our goal for this week is to redeem some of our gift cards getting some last minute items, to include our car seat(kind of mandatory to have one of those). My brother and sister in law got us our stroller, which is a BOB-Jogging Stroller, its pretty pimp and we're excited about using it with Matthew as we plan to take him alot of places. The other project is to fully get bags packed for the hospital, I've been putting a few things together here and there.
Whew, this was a long one, lots of fun things to share and continued good reports from the doctor. We're getting more excited. David has an October 15th deadline that he is busy with and is anxious to get that deadline out of the way. I'm wondering if Matthew is holding out for that deadline too since "Matthew" means "tax collector"....hmmmm...could it be?? We'll see.

You are almost there....I am so excited! Those are the best doctor appointments when things are showing progress and they can feel the head! You look beautiful in those wedding pictures! Please let me know if there is anything we can do for you these last few weeks, would love to help!
