Didn't Escape...

I didn't escape getting sick from the flu, allergies, or whatever it was I got. On Thursday night I didn't sleep well but thought it was just because of not being comfortable. I felt tired throughout the day Thursday and thought that I would feel better if I got a good nights sleep. I did sleep well but on Friday kept feeling progressively worse. Again, just thought it was being tired.

I took off early on Friday because I just felt bad and things were slow at work anyway, so I thought I would take advantage of that to take care of myself. I didn't have any fever and kept monitoring it. At about 9:00pm I had a fever of 99.5, so I thought we should call the doctor. We did and he said to take Tylenol every 6 hours. I also have been on Tamiflu since Monday and he said to begin taking that 2 times a day. Of course, my only concern was really Matthew and what being sick meant for him. The doctor was reassuring that as long as my temperature was in control things would be fine. He has been entertaining me throughout the weekend with his movements.

Yesterday consisted of absolutely nothing, except changing from the couch to the recliner, back to the couch, walking around the house because it sucked to be sitting and laying. There is nothing, let me repeat that...NOTHING...on tv on Saturdays. I did get to catch up on some 80s movies, such as Pee Wee's Big Adventure and watched some football. But after a day of rest today I am feeling better.

I still have just left over stuffiness in my nose, but hopefully I'm on the tail end and will plan to go back to work tomorrow and take it easy. I feel that my weekend was wasted but maybe this is what I needed without me knowing. We have a doctors appointment on Wednesday where we'll follow up about this and other things. My brother and sister in law from CA are coming on Thursday night as well for the weekend which I'm really excited about since we haven't seen them at all during our pregnancy.

I was glad to know our Baylor Bears redeemed themselves this weekend. I was limited to David's text messages updating me on the score. Way to go Bears!! Keep it up.
