Napa Valley

Two weeks ago, David and I took a trip to Napa Valley for an event that his company was sponsoring. It was a great time to get away....without kids, and really just have a time of relaxing.

We flew into San Francisco on Thursday evening and altered our route to Napa so we could go over the Golden Gate bridge. I had not realized how much was in San Francisco and definately a place to go to when the boys are older and vacation/sight see.

Friday we went to several wineries and got to experience the nectar of the Gods right from the heart of it. It just seemed like the wines all tasted better knowing they came from that immediate area.

The scenary in Napa was amazing and breath taking. We loved just driving around and seeing the mountains and all the outlines of the vineyards. I went for a run each morning and it was wonderful to run (in the cool) and on the flat valley floor but look around at all the mountains surrounding us.

A couple of pics of us out and about.

Saturday evening was the event at the David Arthur Vineyards. The owner of Spenco was friends with the winery owner and invited us to attend as a part of his table.

The party was Back to the Future theme, so David was testing out the Delorian.

And, we were excited to meet Heather Lochlear. Our claim to fame.

So, good wine, good fun, sleeping in will wear any guy out!!!  It was a quiet trip to the airport. HA!

What a trip to be included in and we were humbled to be a part of it. Thanks Papa and Gaga for spoiling our boys and loving on them in our abscence. Weekends like this are few and far between so it was nice just being able to focus one on one with David and deepen our relationship as well.
