Valentine's is never a real big deal in our household. I think my Dad brainwashed me as child to believing it truly is a "Hallmark Holiday". Regardless, it was fun to have a special day of cuddles, treats, and time together. Of course, no mom will pass up hearing her 3 year old declare his love for you. And I think Taylor showed his love by taking a nap that day so I could as well.
Since Valentines was on a Thursday, I got to spend the day with my boys. That morning David and Matthew gave me my present. I was getting ready in the bathroom and Matthew said he would open it for me. I was certain he would not be able to get the wrapping off the candy box, but he did and when I came back in he had already busted into it. He quickly told me that we were sharing...ha!
Later that day we met our friends, the Jacobus family, out at the park. It was a great day weatherwise and we really enjoyed being together, playing and a wonderful picnic dinner together.
Matthew made cookies with his Gaga the week before that we took earlier in the week to share with his friends at school. He was excited to take them and share.
