More Times Like These

Over the past week, there has been some changes in our world and all for the best!! David has resigned from his position at JRBT and has taken the job of Chief Financial Officer for Spenco Medical and will begin that job fully by the end of October. He has been with JRBT for 7 years and has come to call many of the people there "family". He was pursued for this job and we were not looking to leave. However, each tax season I hear the following "I don't know how many more of these I can do."

This last year, I feel, has been tough on David as he has felt as though he's missed out on things with Matthew. Now that Taylor has come it has hit him a little harder how much of a family man he is. OF course we all wrestle with the work-life balance but I'm blessed to be married to a man that wants to be a part of his home life, the good, the bad and the ugly parts. He is great at what he does as well and works with all his strength. Those late nights, long days, and working on the weekends has begun to take its toll, as it would with anyone. God knew what He was doing bringing about this job because of all that it is bringing to David, both professionally (as its a big job) and personally with allowing for time at home, flexibility and time for himself.

I am excited to see what God has in store for us and feel that this step of faith by my husband will be rewarded and blessed. He has done well for himself and as a wife, it makes me proud to see him being recognized for his efforts and hard work. If God brings you to it, He'll bring you through it.

So, needless to say, David is VERY excited about the opportunities to have more moments like these...(and his wife and boys are too!!!!)
