Let me just start off by saying, I'm done with this pregnancy. I'm just really ready to meet this little guy, see him interact with Matthew, and get on with getting on being a family of four. HOWEVER, I have been learning more about being grateful for whatever time I have. There are some that cannot have the back aches and the sleepless nights and would probably at some level long for those things just to know they were pregnant. Therefore, I am working to embrace the here and now and know this is not my forever and to be grateful for the gift I truly have been given.
That being said, I did ask the doctor on Friday if she could go ahead and schedule me for an induction!!! Ha! But we are showing signs of progress....I'm dilated to a 2 and my cervix is beginning to efface. I've been having contractions and some I've had to stop and pay attention to. As we all know, there is no telling when Taylor will make his debut but I pray that we are doing what we can now to best prepare ourselves to receive him into this world as our own.
I've got the pack and play set up in our room, Taylor's bag packed, Matthew's bag will be packed tonight, and then a round of laundry and David and I will be packed. Matthew's arrangements have been discussed and decided on for day of delivery. I got all the bottles and breastfeeding things down last night and they have gone through the dishwasher and are all in working condition. Car seat is in the closet ready to be put in (or maybe I should go ahead and do that...just to get used to not having a back seat). We are excited and anxious to move on to the next chapter of our life and continue to invest in these little guys we've been blessed with.
So...more details to come at each coming weekly visit. In the meantime, we are soaking up all the fun and family time we can get.
