Race Car Bed

We have successfully transitioned not only to a new big boy bed, but to a new room as well. Matthew has done very well with this as well. His mother, however, has been slowly (and tearfully) accepting that my boy is growing up. We got Matthew a race car bed and he seems to really enjoy it and likes to show everyone his bed. This is a picture from the first nap in it....Success!

After his nap, we were in his "old" room and I had taken the mattress out of his crib and put it in his new bed. He asks "Mommy, what did you do to my bed?" I told him we put it in his new bed and this was going to be Taylor's bed now. He started to whine a little and I asked him if he could share his bed and he said "Ok, Mommy I'll share it with Taylor." And we've been fine since then. I hope this attitude stays when there is an actual Taylor in there. So now that the transition has been made, its off to find new decorations and fun stuff to make this Matthew's room.
