Christmas Day

Merry Christmas!!!!

This year was so fun with Matthew. He was excited, aware and involved. The night before, Mom got a little wrapped up in things and forgot to let Matthew help put out the cookies. However, they did get put out and as Matthew stated that morning "Santa ate cookies and drank all his milk."

Santa brought a train table for Matthew, a soccer ball and a Baylor basketball. The later one was added in as that is specifically what he requested when we went to visit Santa. Luckily, any basketball is a Baylor basketball.

We played with our toys and then went to church that morning. It was a sweet time to be there together and have our minds pointed towards the true meaning of Christmas. Without the birth of Jesus, we would be lost and hopeless.

Funny story: While we were getting ready, I was cooking breakfast and touched something hot in the kitchen. David yelled into the kitchen "Are you okay?" Matthew then began copying him all morning saying "You ok?" During church the preacher said Ok during a part of his sermon which I guess triggered Matthew's memory, so he started yelling "You ok?" and laughing in the middle of church....life with a two year old.

The rest of the day was restful and we were able to play with toys and just be at home, which was nice.
