Matthew, you are now 2 years old. I cannot believe it, but I'll go ahead and accept it. You are such a treasure to me and your Daddy. You are beautiful and truly have a sweet spirit. I'm excited to see what God is going to do with your life as your Daddy and I think that you are super exceptional. You are talking in full sentences now and its been fun to actually communicate with you. You are shy to people you don't know very well and have to feel people out before you trust them, but you came by that one naturally. You love everything to do with boy stuff...sports (specifically Baylor and Cowboy football), trucks, cars, dirt and being outside in the dirt. You have been such a joy and teacher to your parents. We have learned what its like to be a leader, to know EVERYTHING you say is being heard and processed, that you want to be like us and that is humbling, and that we would do anything to keep you safe and reach your full potential in life. We've learned we not only sacrifice our money to get you things, but our schedules, our activities and our ideas of what is best...and we would not have it any other way. You have made us better people individually, as a couple and as a complete family. You give us a reason to get up and do it another day and to live in that day joyfully. Matthew you are loved and cherished, may you always know you have a safe place to land at your home with Mommy and Daddy.
This year, on Thursday we took Matthew to Peter Piper pizza (aka...Vegas for children) and celebrated with Gaga, Papa and Grandmom(David's Mom). He had a great time and really enjoyed having 5 people be 100% engrossed in his activities. I don't have a single picture from that night because we forgot the camera.
On Saturday it was birthday party day! And Matthew has been talking about this day for weeks as we were having it at the zoo. He is slightly obsessed with the zoo. He woke up and said "Happy Birthday party at the zoo???" Yes son, its finally here.
It was great to have our friends and family there to help celebrate our little man. We could not have raised this kid without all of the help, love and patience from each of these people that attended. Matthew loved having his friends around to play with as well.
Always fun to see Gaga and play with Papa
Karlie and Matthew are inseperable...It might be the sweetest thing ever
Ms. Kinsey chilling
The Huse triplets
Cousin Maci
Baby Harrison
My son is the Mack Daddy....got his girlfriends, Sydney and Karlie in tow throughout the zoo
We had cake, made by David's sister Julie, and fully loaded up on sugar took off to explore all the animals. Alot of excitement seeing all the animals and running around along the way.
Ready to break into the goods.
For some reason he wanted to go show Gaga every present.
Look at all the puzzles!!
Running off all the sugar
Birthday boy! May this year be just as fun, meaningful, and full of great family memories. We love you.
