This past Friday we went down to see a Round Rock Express game. This is such a family friendly environment (and much cheaper than the Rangers) that I know we'll be frequenting this place. They have a playground, jumping areas, a swimming pool, and lots of room to run around all inside the ball park.
We ate the traditional baseball meal--hotdogs and nachos. Matthew never passes up a chip that can be dipped in anything.
He enjoyed watching the game and would show us the field when we asked where the baseball was. He LOVED the music as well, anytime they played a song his little booty was just a shaking. Very cute.
After about 45 minutes, he was wanting to run around. So we let him play chase on the concourse as well as play on the playground. This was a Mother's Worst Nightmare. There were literally about 50-60 kids running crazy on this thing. It was big and high and I told myself "Self, you're going to have to let him do this." And I did and watched him like a hawk. He. Did. Marvelous. He climbed up all the stairs, went down all the slides, and held his own with bigger kids pushing him around. Made me tear up a little to see him being so big...he's growing up...did everyone know that but me?!?!!?
This was a great time for our little family. We have been doing more things like this and has really been good for us to experience all these things together.
