The Bad First

Let me first say, we had a great time in Vegas and relaxed and were overstimulated by everything Vegas had to offer. And of course, Matthew was spoiled, which we were happy for, by his Gran and PawPaw. Pictures and details from the trip to come.

We had a first yesterday and as I write this I am flooded with emotions and gratitude. We had a pretty bad wreck on the way to church yesterday morning. The road was pretty wet and we hydroplaned on 35 and hit the median and then went across 35 and the frontage road and jumped over a big ditch and landed nose first on the other side. We walked...that's right...walked away seemingly unharmed. It could have been alot worse, and I'm trying not to be tempted to go there in my mind. Instead, I'm counting my blessing and praising my God for watching over us.

I was driving and it is just an out of control feeling, especially when I could hear Matthew crying in the background. ONce we were stopped David got him out of his seat and I held him and of course lost it. He then saw me crying and started crying so I had to pull it together quickly. I love my family everyday and more today as we faced a scary time yesterday. David and I are sore and Matthew is 100% except for a little bruise on his neck from the seatbelt. If you ever think of going anywhere without your little ones in their car seat...think again, I'm a believer as I saw that these car seats work!!

Gratitude and praise.
