Thanksgiving 2010

We have so much to be thankful for and it was fun this year to have the time to think about those things. David and I are grateful for our relationship to each other and that it is grounded in the Lord. Matthew has been the biggest blessing in our life and his growing personality, life, and abilities are fascinating to watch. Our families and close friends have been so involved and helpful to us. We are grateful for our physical health and that we have more than we need. The list could go on and on.

This year was low key, mainly because I got the stomach flu sometime during the day on Thursday. Not fun at all to not be able to eat for three days on the biggest eating holiday of the year. I've got an appetite waiting for Christmas to come. This really did allow for us to just be at home and truly relax and be together as a family.

Matthew has really enjoyed playing in the leaves.

How can you NOT be thankful for that?!?!

On Thursday we had David's family to our house for dinner. It was fun to have the kiddos around to play and get to see everyone together.

Friday was time just for us to hang out and play. David and Matthew got alot of good quality time together. It was fun to see how excited Matthew was after we were all together for 4 days together, it really seemed like he noticed.

Saturday we headed over the river and through the woods to my parents house. They loved playing with Matthew, who was loving the attention and fun.

Again, we have so much to be grateful for and try to make each day an expression of thanksgiving.
