Trick or Treat!

Happy Halloween from the McKown family. What a great time together as family. We took Matthew trick or treating for the first time and he seemed to really love it. All night he seemed to be thinking "Wow, I just get dressed up, stay up later than my bed time, smile and people give me stuff...this could work!!"

This year Matthew went as a garden gnome, only the cutest one you've ever seen. At first, however, he was not liking this outfit.

But we quickly got used to it and enjoyed a fun filled evening. We stayed around our neighborhood which has alot of kids in it. Many of the neighbors dressed up and decorated so we had a festive time seeing everyone around.

Our great friends, the Huse's, came with their "banana split". What a cute and creative idea. Michelle made their costumes and put the banana on their wagon. They seemed to enjoy themselves and really lit up when they found the candy in the bottom of their bags. It was good to be with friends and see our kids experience things together.

So, I just hold this bucket and you put candy in it, right?!?!?!

My little gnome...might just put him out in the garden.

He we are walking up to one of the houses for candy. He did really well and didn't seem to be scared by any of the masks or anything. He got alot of "Oh honey, you've gotta come see this costume." The neighbors talk to him alot on our walks around the neighborhood so they were real kind to him. He got a little shy whenever they would let him take one out of the bucket, I guess the lesson on Stranger Danger has stuck.

At one point in the night he found a sucker in his bag. He never let go of it after that. The sad thing is that the wrapper was still on it so he didn't really get the full effect.

I like Halloween!!

Hanging out with Daddy

Death grip on the sucker. His beard was soaking wet by the time we got home.

Made it back home safely and was soo tired and went right to bed. It's hard work being a gnome.

Birthday Festivity pictures are coming...I'm compiling them from all the cameras.
