Exercise is something that is very important to me and really helps my mental health. I really use it as my time during the day to clear my mind and have a chance to be still. Well, today, it may not have been pretty but I ran for the first time in about 9 months. I kept my exercise routine up all throughout pregnancy, up to the day before we delivered, walking, swimming and weights, so I wasn't as out of shape as I could be.
Today, I just decided that I would run as Matthew and I have been walking everyday. I went about a mile and a half and felt pretty good. I know that it wasn't pretty but I did it. I took Matthew with me and he seemed to really like "running" in the stroller. He had only been "walking"...I guess more vibration from running was really tiring to him...ha! I told David to remind me of what I did tomorrow.
Hopefully I'll continue to get back into shape like I was before. It was good for me to know my legs would still work that way and I'm excited about continuing to take care of myself so I can better take care of Matthew and David.
